About Firma Fijnwerk
My name is Dennis Loos, founder of Firma Fijnwerk. For more than thirty years, I have looked at homes the way a good carpenter looks at wood: at the grain, the tension, the joints and the places where things may start to move over time.
That is where I started too: hands on, as a carpenter. I later became a site manager and project manager in high-end villa construction, where I learned that an exceptional home is never just walls, floors and installations. It is in the line of a staircase, the way a door closes, the proportions of a room and the seamless finish that no one consciously notices, but everyone feels.
And sometimes, it is in requests no standard maintenance checklist was ever made for. A secured sleeping floor, for example. Or a shower that is already warm before you touch the tap. Technology that works quietly in the background. Details that fit your life, not an average home.
